第六年為各位介紹 西班牙ROSA藝術集團 來台參加[2018 Art Revolution Taipei 台北新藝術博覽會]的藝術家。今年規模擴大,創新高邀請來了十位藝術家,以景觀畫與人物畫為主。我們已經看過了四位人物畫大師 Fabio Hurtado 、Didier LourençoGerman Aracil 和 Antonio Varas de la Rosa,外加一位人物寫實雕塑大師 José Manuel Belmonte;在景觀畫的部分,我們也介紹了夢幻寫實風景畫大師 Pedro Roldán 、都市寫實景觀畫大師 Cristóbal Pérez García 、寫實風景畫大師 Joan Coloma,以及印象派景觀畫大師 Josep Cruañas,最後壓軸要介紹的是與 Pedro Roldán 、José Manuel Belmonte 同樣來自哥多華的都市寫實景觀畫大師 Francisco Escalera [譯音:弗朗西斯科.埃斯卡列拉] 的作品。西班牙在歷史上曾經被羅馬帝國、回教帝國先後統治過,在13世紀後回歸到西班牙的統治範圍,在回教時代的哈里發王朝即認定哥多華為當時在伊比利半島的省會,並於此興建僅次於麥加的第二大清真寺,但在天主教勢力復興後,因為它的崇大雄偉,主政者不捨得拆除,於是在清真寺的中央蓋了一座天主教的座堂,因此形成回教文化與天主教文化共存的現象,這一點也影響了當地的藝術形式與藝術家的創意。以這幅畫為例 [哥多華的水岸_Córdoba],隔著哥多華城市的命脈--瓜達爾基維爾河,右手邊是古老的清真寺建築,左手邊則是現代化的人工構物,形成一個對比;橫亙在瓜達爾基維爾河上的又是一座一世紀時打造的羅馬橋,再形成人為景觀與自然景觀的對比!在構圖上非常巧妙!Francisco 喜歡時而寫實、時而印象,企圖營造出一種似曾相識的氣氛(Deja Vu),整個畫面處理得像是懷舊老相片,似乎要喚醒觀畫者塵封中的記憶。

Francisco Escalera [譯音:弗朗西斯科.埃斯卡列拉]
53歲(1965),西班牙人(哥多華),現定居哥多華。1992年畢業於哥多華A.A.學院與O. A.學院美術系。他以都市景觀畫為主題,探索幾何線條與有機物之間的關係,時而寫實,時而印象,企圖營造出一種似曾相識的氣氛(Deja Vu)。擁有超過30場個展和200多場群展紀錄(包括6場美術館、1項沙龍展),得獎無數,16項競賽第一名(其中6項是全國競賽),更是連續三年馬德里BMW繪畫競賽頭獎得主,並獲得許多著名基金會的收藏,藏家分佈於西班牙、葡萄牙、德國、法國、美國、哥倫比亞、阿根廷,埃及等地。

他的畫作中,交織著自己的生活體驗與旅遊回憶。印象中的行程、周遭的景物,以及旅遊手札,這些元素豐富了他的作品。擁有超過30場個展和300場群展的展出記錄,分佈在西班牙、歐洲、美國、南美和非洲等地的當代藝術公私領域以及基金會。
In his paintings there is an interaction of his own lived experience and remembered in the trip with the surrounding landscape, elaborating his works, paying attention to the memories suggested after a documentation of the reality. With more than 30 individual and 300 group exhibitions his work is present in public and private collections and foundations of contemporary art in Spain, Europe, USA, South America and Africa.

這棟建築物是卡塔赫納的帆船俱樂部,座落於卡塔赫納的港口。它讓我覺得很有意思的地方是,建築物本身新古典主義風格的造型與照在其側邊的透明光線形成強烈的對比。這幅畫是2013年開始動筆的,至2017年為止,這當中我慢慢地在畫面上加入場景裡的其他元素,試圖想創造一個近似於基里訶的高度象徵性幻覺與形而上繪畫的藝術。這幅畫裡捕捉的是正午過後的冬陽。
The building of the Club de Regatas de Cartagena, located in the harbor of the city, interested me because of its neoclassical style, where the forms contrast with a diaphanous lateral light. Started in 2013, it has been evolving adding more pictorial elements and glazes until 2017, to get an air close to the metaphysical art of Giorgio de Chirico. AZen Lee:基里訶是一位以高度象徵性幻覺藝術著稱的義大利畫家。他常認為自己是個藝術哲人,旨在發掘主題中居於中心位置的神祕性,他將想像和夢幻的形象,與日常生活事物,或古典傳統融合在一起,使現實和虛幻揉而為一。基里訶的畫布上,充滿了以誇張的透視法所表現的刻板建築物、謎一樣的剪影。這幅畫是在向基里訶的「無盡的鄉愁 nostalgia of infinity」系列作品做一個致敬。

Fu Chin Yun:建築物的左側是很美的山水風景,右側則是港口碼頭,是否也在暗示著現代社會的快速發展,讓自然美景急速消失?

這是哥多華,也是我的家鄉,它在溫暖暈黃的光線下的景致。在天際線處我們可以看到清真寺大教堂、羅馬橋、卡拉歐拉塔,這些都是哥多華歷史上重要的古代建築;過去的古文明如腓尼西人、羅馬人、回教徒、猶太人和基督教徒均曾在哥多華落腳,我們可以說這道天際線也是屬於往昔的、歷史上的哥多華。構圖上很重要的一個元素是畫面中央的瓜達爾基維爾河,它為這座城市注入了生命與個性。
It is a view of Córdoba, my hometown, with a warm and yellowish light where we can see the skyline with the Mosque-Cathedral, the Roman Bridge and the Calahorra, all very important monuments of the history of the ancient architecture of Cordoba, where ancient civilizations such as Phoenician, Roman, Muslim, Jewish and Christian were settled. We could say that it is the skyline of the antique and historic Cordoba. The main element of composition is the Guadalquivir river that gives life and personality to the city. (Translated by Yingchi Ku)

Fu Chin Yun:河道右岸的景象用比較模糊的方式處理,在加上充滿歷史感的建築,與左岸相映,像是在訴說著這條河從古自今看到的故事與時代變遷。

這幅畫的基本構圖是建立在畫面中央的V字形線條,畫的是馬德里索菲亞皇后當代美術館著名的建築外部,畫面是從阿杜查火車站往榮達·阿杜查街的方向看過去所取的景,是下午時分的景色,光線溫暖偏橘。我把畫的焦點放得很低,是因為我想要給看畫的人一種又深又長、無窮無盡的感覺。在這裡建築物的光影變化極其重要。這幅畫我使用的是複合的技巧,先以廣告顏料勾勒打底,然後再以畫筆和畫刀上油彩。
PS. Reina Sophia 是索菲亞皇后,指的是畫中以其名來命名的美術館
In this painting predomines, the V composition line, of a very significant architecture outside the Museum of Contemporary Art in Madrid, Reina Sofía. Seen from the Atocha train station to the street Ronda de Atocha, during the afternoon, when the lights are more orange and warm. With a very sharp vanishing point I wanted to take the viewer to a risky composition. The effect of light on buildings is important. made with mixed technique, that is, acrylic for the first stain and drawing and rest of the work in oil with brush and spatula. (Translated by Yingchi Ku)

In this painting of warm palette the harbor lighthouse of Isla Cristina (Huelva) is represented. It is a very interesting lighthouse for its peculiar octagonal plant and is rare within the Spanish lighthouses. The orange light invades everything forming a diagonal composition, with a fisherman in the foreground, with a white shirt, on the edge of the breakwater, and hot air balloons that give the work a poetic and dreamy character. (Translated by Yingchi Ku)

這是我少數畫在木板上的畫。在這幅作品中,我嘗試以橘色調的用色及一層一層的堆疊、上色、慢塗,來表現畫面特殊的質感與紋理。正如畫名所示,我想要追求的是對東方的好奇幻想與夢幻憧憬,在這裡以兩個代表性的元素來展現,一是亞洲的古老建築,另一個則是櫻花。這幅畫是2008年開始畫的,初始只有背景與天際線,這幾年我才慢慢加入構圖上的其他元素。這是截至目前為止我唯一一幅以東方題材為主題的作品。
This is one of my few paintings done on panel. In this work by using an orange tones palette and successive layers of color and fillings, I was looking to get some very interesting textures. As the title of the painting indicates, I was looking for a sensation of fantasy or oriental reverie with two very characteristic elements, one of the ancient Asian architecture and another of nature (cherry blossoms). The work evolved since 2008, which was only a background and a horizon, to gradually adding compositional elements during these years. It is the only work that, until now, I have done on oriental themes. (Translated by Yingchi Ku)

這是夏日系列中非常具代表性的一幅畫,是獻給西班牙南部的海灘風景。這裡主要用的是暖色調,但構圖上間或點綴的人、物、遮陽傘等,其各自不同的顏色在畫面上反令人有眼睛為之一亮之感。這裡也有在畫室裡回想起在海灘上待上一整天的記憶,留下了畫中人談天說笑、盡情享受生活的點點滴滴。這幅畫裡前景的人物眾多,三三兩兩分散四處,構圖上顯得較複雜,但畫緣上方背景中出現的一道地平線反而為畫面帶來了平衡感。
It is a very representative painting of the series "Estivalia", dedicated to the coastal landscape in summer time, in the south of Spain. It is a scene where a range of warm colors, and in the composition, there are interspersed elements such as the beach umbrellas, which give points of color to the landscape. There is also a remembered experience in the studio, where people spend a day at the beach, talking and enjoying life. 這是2016年五月的畫作,取材自克里斯蒂納島上的漁民在落潮的海灘上撿拾蛤蠣與貝殼。這幅畫的構圖相當穩定,以土黃色、紅色為主調的用色讓沙灘得以產生層次分明的效果,並與天際線區別出來。
It is a work made in the month of May of 2016, and is located in Isla Cristina (Huelva) where at low tide the fisherman look for clams and shellfish in the sand. It is a painting made in the month of May in Isla Cristina (Huelva) where the range of reddish colors prevails that contrast with a colder spot left by the water at low tide. Important compositional elements are the people crouched collecting the shellfish. It is a beach landscape made in oil on canvas of the southern area of Spain of Isla Cristina (Huelva), in the month of July. With an intense midday light, where the composition is made by dividing the square format into two approximate parts, the line of beach umbrellas and elements, together with the sea horizon line, form a separation of ranges of cold colors (sky) and hot colors (sand). 這是夏日系列中的一幅畫,為西班牙南部的夏季海景而作。這張畫的地平線位於畫幅下方三分之一處,把畫面分割成上、下兩個區塊。地平線上矗立著海灘上的建築物、船隻等。這張畫是在七月畫的,使用的是暖色系,以帶點些微赭紅的色調來描繪天空,並與冷色系的海水做鮮明的對比。在技巧上使用的是透明薄塗的畫法,另外也使用畫刀拉出色線與色塊。
It is a work of the series "Estivalia" dedicated to the coastal landscape in summer time. In my painting, since 2001 with the previous series Paisajes de paso and in the current Dejà Vu I analyze the relationship that exists between landscape and human being, between natural elements of this and architectural forms or elements modified by man over time, and above all, look through the sensations experienced in the daily journey, shapes and colors that in a subjective way I modify in transcendent spaces with a latent geometry.

我想我對繪畫界的貢獻是,提供一種視角來觀察我們周遭的環境,並運用到我所謂的「觀照自身」的方式,這頗有禪意,簡言之,我希望觀畫者能在忙碌的現代生活中停下腳步,對這個方格內的畫作所吸引,看看這些圖形與色彩會對他們說什麼?
A: I think that I contribute to the painting a vision coherent with the current environment and, from my tool that is the subjective and reflexive manipulation of the painting, a close look at the Zen contemplation, that is, a call of attention to the possible spectator for stop in our hectic life and get inside the box paying attention to shapes and colors and what they tell you.

The painter Francisco Escalera (Córdoba, 1965) is one of the authors of the most successful city with his painting, specialized especially in the landscape, and specifically in the urban, with unusual perspectives and with unique visions of what the spectator has before him.
