第八年為各位介紹 西班牙ROSA藝術集團 來台參加 [2020~21 Art Revolution Taipei 台北新藝術博覽會] 的藝術家。

第十二位要介紹的是2020年就已經答應來參展的魔幻素樸人物畫大師 Alvaro Reja [譯音:阿勒瓦洛·瑞哈]。Alvaro Reja 與他的夫人 Carolina Cuadrillero [譯音:卡洛琳娜.瓜德里耶洛]是主辦單位開展以來第一對同時受邀參展並且獨立作畫的夫妻檔藝術家,下篇將介紹夫人的作品。Alvaro夫婦倆畫風與題材的「魔幻味」來自「百年孤寂」一書作者馬奎斯 (Gabriel García Márquez)的影響,Alvaro的作品更具代表性。融合了現實與想像、充滿力量卻又溫柔細膩。風格非常獨特,其中一些畫作更讓人聯想起畢卡索、夏卡爾、莫迪里亞尼和波特羅等偉大的藝術家。

由於疫情影響,2020ART在世貿一館的正式展停辦,改為小規模的松山菸廠番外篇,但是已準備好的ROSA藝術集團十一位藝術家並沒有參與。等到2021ART時,ROSA藝術集團又加入了四位生力軍,總共十五位人數創新高打算盛大舉辦,不巧在今年臨開展前又因為台北疫情出現破口而延期!不論如何,就讓我們在網路上提前欣賞吧!

Alvaro Reja [譯音:阿勒瓦洛·瑞哈]

56歲(1964),出生與定居於西班牙巴達霍斯,現定居於帕倫西亞。自幼就有藝術天份,但跟隨家人務農,直到23歲時與畫家卡洛琳娜.瓜德里耶洛 (Carolina Cuadrillero) 結婚後才致力於繪畫,自學成才。他的作品充滿童趣和甜美,主題多樣化且富於想像力,令人聯想到 Picasso以及 Fernando Botero。自2004領養一位中國女孩後,夫婦倆的畫風開始偏圓型發展。1993起迄今至少有32項個展紀錄。1991至1993年連續三屆入選馬德里秋季沙龍展,西班牙多處市議會與省議會都有收藏他的作品。藏家包括西班牙前首相、前沙烏地阿拉伯國王、知名服飾品牌Zara創辦人、電影007始祖、F1車神、拉丁樂界第一女神...等人。

Reja的作品令人印象深刻,富有詩意和甜美,主題多樣且充滿想像力,無懼於色彩的運用和紋理的表現。他的作品如詩,穿梭在理想的唯美和表現主義的形變之間,在現實與虛幻、點與線之間。他的作品在歌頌生活中平凡卻又和我們息息相關的人事物。其中一些畫作更讓人聯想起畢卡索、莫迪里亞尼和費爾南多·博特羅等偉大的畫家。

The work of Reja is impressive, poetic and sweet with a varied and imaginative theme and without fear of color and textures. He builds visual poems, his canvases fluctuate between the ideal beauty and expressionist deformation, between the real and the imaginary, between drawing and stain. His work is a hymn to the simple and important things of life. Some of his works recall great master painters like Picasso, Modigliani and Fernando Botero.

《愛之歌》與《在我女孩的耳邊》基於相似的想法和靈感,我完成了這兩件作品。在這兩幅畫作中,我想反映出畫中人物所表達的情緒,以及他們與人際關係、懷舊回憶、愛情、感情、友情、自信、渴望、自我成長有關的情感,這些也是伴隨我們終其一生都有所認同的感覺和願望。這兩幅畫的構圖似乎都包圍在棉絮般柔軟、夢幻的詳和氛圍裏,角色籠罩在一片甜蜜美好當中,好似忘卻一切,空靈縹緲,宛如自他方而出,自宇宙而來。

I have done these two works (CANCIONES DE AMOR and AL OÍDO DE MÍ MUCHACHA ) based on similar ideas and inspirations. In both pieces I wanted to reflect the expression of the feelings of the characters that appear in the works and that are related with interpersonal relationships, nostalgia, love, affection, friendship, confidence, desire and self-improvement. Feelings and wishes with which we all identify and that accompany us throughout our lives. The compositions of both paintings seem to be wrapped in a cottony, dreamlike and peaceful atmosphere that wraps up the characters with an aura of sweetness, and makes them appear oblivious, ethereal, like coming from other places, from other universes.

《愛之歌》與《在我女孩的耳邊》基於相似的想法和靈感,我完成了這兩件作品。在這兩幅畫作中,我想反映出畫中人物所表達的情緒,以及他們與人際關係、懷舊回憶、愛情、感情、友情、自信、渴望、自我成長有關的情感,這些也是伴隨我們終其一生都有所認同的感覺和願望。這兩幅畫的構圖似乎都包圍在棉絮般柔軟、夢幻的詳和氛圍裏,角色籠罩在一片甜蜜美好當中,好似忘卻一切,空靈縹緲,宛如自他方而出,自宇宙而來。

I have done these two works (CANCIONES DE AMOR AND AL OÍDO DE MÍ MUCHACHA ) based on similar ideas and inspirations. In both pieces I wanted to reflect the expression of the feelings of the characters that appear in the works and that are related with interpersonal relationships, nostalgia, love, affection, friendship, confidence, desire and self-improvement. 我對這幅畫有強烈的情感,因為在穆威達 (La Mueda) 這間農舍裏,我度過6年的生活直到我6歲。穆威達是一間位於埃斯特雷馬杜拉自治區(Extremadura)的農舍,座落於巴達霍斯 (Badajoz)省的塞雷納(Serena)山谷。在這件作品中,小男孩代表我自己,正玩著我的第一個玩具— 一輛三輪車,在我的遊戲中,我想像它跟汽車一樣擁有一盞燈。這件作品的草圖畫得非常用心、仔細,使整個畫面完整一致。我刻意尋找一種近乎雕刻和原始藝術的特徵來表現人物,這與我努力以色彩、光線—尤其是孩子臉上散發的光芒和車燈照射的光—營造出來柔和而寧靜的氛圍形成了鮮明的對比。《朝穆威達而去》是對我童年時代的懷舊印象。

This painting has a strong emotional charge for me, because in La Mueda (a Farmhouse) I spent my first 6 years of life. La Mueda is a farmhouse located in Extremadura, in the province of Badajoz and that belongs to the Serena Valley. In this work I represent myself as a child, playing with my first toy, a tricycle that in my games I imagined it with a light like the ones of the cars had. The drawing is very worked and detailed to give consistency to the image. looking for an almost sculptural and primitive character, that contrasts with the sweet and peaceful atmosphere with which I have worked the color and the light coming from the light and the child's face. "Camino a la Mueda" is a nostalgic look at my childhood.

我們可以很容易地看出,這幅畫的主角聚焦在母雞上,女人以一種奇怪的姿勢模仿家禽,在餵食牠們時表現出一種奴顏婢膝的姿態,同時也使她變成了一隻母雞。整幅畫都充滿了愛與棉絮般的柔軟氛圍,類似於禽鳥羽毛的觸感。

As we can easily see, all the protagonism of the painting is centered on the hens, the woman adopts a strange posture mimicking the fowls, in that servile gesture when feeding them, and that at the same time also turns her into a hen. The whole painting has a loving and cottony atmosphere similar to the touch and feeling of the bird's plumage.

這件作品已經在我的工作室裏好幾年,創作過程中進行了許多修正,也歷經不同的處理手法,直到我找到作品自身本來應有的發展方向。它不僅在繪製上遭受重大改變,在結構上也發生了變化,因為變動之初,我必須在原本的木板下方再加上20公分的長度;有時繪畫會發生這種情況,以便在需要時修改構圖。這幅畫有著簡單的結構和原始樸實的線條,前景中的兩個人物佔據了畫作的大部分,一名孕婦受到丈夫的殷殷呵護,他們即將出世的兒子則出現在畫面頂端。這對夫婦身處在大自然中,他們無依無靠,必須獨自面對孩子的出生;一隻貓頭鷹現身注視著他們,其他鳥兒也出現在場景中,這讓觀者有置身鄉村田園之感,再加上這幅畫的色彩表現,使我們進入一種充滿忘我和愛戀、卻又壓抑與孤獨的氛圍中,而我一直試圖在這幅畫中體現這一點。

This work have been in my studio for a few years, in its creation process it has undergone many changes and it has been subject to different approaches until I ‘ve found the path that the work itself was marking me, it has suffered not only changes in its execution, but also in its structure because at the beginning of the process I had to add twenty centimeters in the lower part of the original support, this sometimes happens with the paintings, in order to modify the composition if it is required. Of rough structure and primitive lines, the two figures in the foreground occupy most of the surface of the painting, a pregnant woman is protected by her husband, and their future son, who is about to be born appears at the top. The couple that is located in the middle of the nature, will have to face the birth of the child alone and without help, with the presence of an owl that contemplates them, other birds appear in the scene, which contributes to the spectator being placed in a rural setting, that together with the Chromatic play of the painting brings us into an atmosphere of oppression and loneliness, of self-denial and love that I have always tried to reflect in this painting.

在我的藝術生涯中,丑角和馬戲團人物一直是個反覆出現的主題,近年來也零星地出現在我的創作裏。在這件作品中,我著重在雜耍人這個角色,許多我景仰的藝術家也都處理過這項主題,例如畢卡索 (Picasso)、夏卡爾 (Chagall)、塞爾索.拉加爾 (Celso Lagar)、杜菲 (Dufi) 以及許多其他畫家,他們由於各種原因受到馬戲團深深的吸引,而我自專職繪畫以來一直研究這類主題,就是因為這些藝術家以前也曾畫過。在這裏,中心人物被塑造為一個強大的角色,有一個巨大的頭和兩隻大手,與他靈巧的形象形成鮮明對比。這樣的構圖使觀者的視線集中在雜耍者正在玩球的手上,其他參與馬戲團的輔要角色也出現在場景中,與畫中的光影一同喚起馬戲團的魔力。

During my artistic career, harlequins and circus characters have been a recurring theme, and to which I have returned sporadically in recent years. In this work I have focused on the character of a juggler, a subject that has been treated many times by artists that I admire like: Picasso, Chagall, Celso Lagar, Dufi among many other painters, who for various reasons were attracted for the world of Circus, and if I have addressed these subjects since the beginning of my career, it has been mainly for that reason, because these artists did it before. The central character is conceived as a powerful character with a huge head and large hands that contrast with the lightness of the figure, it is composed so that the viewer's gaze is focused on the play of the hands with the balls. Other secondary characters who perform circus numbers appear in the composition, that together with the light of the scenario, that shades the scene evokes the magic of the circus.

這幅作品的構想是對許多不知名繪畫的回顧和致敬,它們在我參觀各大博物館時給我留下了深刻的印象……尤其是英國和荷蘭藝術家的肖像畫,深深烙印在我的視網膜上……
在這幅畫中,我重新塑造了衣服和物體的質感,對於皮膚的處理,也使用並嘗試了各種古老的技術以達到我所追尋的效果,有些技法甚至為古典大師所用。這幅畫也有幾分嘲諷地呈現那些古典肖像畫。

This is a painting conceived as a work of review and homage of many anonymous paintings which have impressed me a lot in some of my visits to the great museums ... 
Portraits done by English and Dutch artists, that have been engraved on my retina ...
In this painting I have recreated myself in the textures of clothing and objects. For the skin, I have used and experimenting with different ancient techniques, some of them used by the great masters, in order to achieve the effect I was looking for. The painting presents a somewhat ironic vision of those portraits.

 

Rosa Anguas: 這幅畫是軍事將領肖像畫的當代詮釋,源於西方皇室肖像畫的傳統,歷史上許多古典大師都曾涉獵,我們也可在世界各大美術館裏看到這一類的肖像畫,比如哥雅所繪之西班牙國王費迪南七世,現存於西班牙馬德里的普拉多博物館供人瞻仰。對我來說他是小拿破崙,因為他們的五官有點像。 標題「Madera de Heroe」 (Hero Wood) 來自西班牙作家Miguel Delibes的一本同名小說的啟發,Madera de Heroe指的是一個人有英雄氣概,西班牙文中我們會以此來形容一個小孩遺傳基因優良、勇敢、天資聰穎,或者出自名門望族、英雄世家(通常是軍人世家)。 這幅畫作技法精準到位,細膩精緻,依循古典大師的作畫技巧,但絕對是當代的表現。

這幅畫的靈感來自Pepita de Oliva,她是一位1830年出生於馬拉加的西班牙舞蹈家,在德國、奧地利、匈牙利和捷克非常受歡迎並廣為人知。著名作曲家約翰·史特勞斯(Johann Strauss)為她獻上了一首波爾卡舞曲《 Pepita Oliva》。我的畫是假想這位舞伶年輕時模樣所創作的肖像,但並未對年齡加以界定。人物只是創造繪畫、展現豐富造型藝術效果的藉口,在這裡我使用了拼貼和極其細膩的透明感處理手法。這是一幅需要觀賞者於近處細看才能享受、欣賞作品細節的畫作。我在珮珮妲 (Pepita) 的臉部塗上多種互補色,上色前這部份是以白色為底色,使反差不致那麼強烈。

This painting is inspired by Pepita de Oliva, a Spanish dancer born in Malaga in 1830, who was very popular and famous in Germany, Austria, Hungary and the Czechoslovak Republic, the famous composer Johann Strauss dedicated her a polka song called “Pepita Oliva”. My painting is a hypothetical portrait of this artist at an early and undefined age. The figure is an excuse to make a painting of rich plastic effects, where I used collage and subtle transparencies. It is a painting that requires the viewer's closeness to appreciate the details of the work and enjoy it. I have painted Pepita’ s face in various complementary colors on a white base to soften the contrasts.
