第七年為各位介紹 西班牙ROSA藝術集團 來台參加[2019 Art Revolution Taipei 台北新藝術博覽會]的藝術家。今年創紀錄邀請來了十二位藝術家，各具特色。現在要介紹的這位是連續第二年來參展的西班牙人物畫大師：Fabio Hurtado [譯音：法比奧·歐羅他多]。西班牙政府曾用他作品來發行郵票! 西班牙皇后索菲亞在BMW繪畫競賽上頒發他榮譽獎章! 擅長以20、30年代電影場景來表現主角的內心世界，技法完美呈現立體派幾何分割的黃金比例，其超現實的氛圍令觀畫者聯想到馬格利特(René Magritte)的作品，是美術館等級的知名藝術家。

Fabio Hurtado [譯音：法比奧·歐羅他多]
59歲(1960)，西班牙馬德里人。個人風格鮮明，多以20、30年代的電影場景為主題，畫中女主角往往具有優雅、豐腴、獨立、神秘、有教養和喜愛旅遊等氣質，色彩運用非常和諧與互補，畫作辨識度高。過去25年在美國、英國、荷蘭、瑞士和西班牙的畫廊巡迴展出。1996成為羅馬現代藝術學院的會員，西班牙郵政單位為了表彰婦女的歷史地位也選用了他的六幅作品來發行郵票。自1984年起迄今至少有21項個展、44項群展 (包含10場藝博會、3項美術館) 展出紀錄。今年是連續第二年參展台北新藝術博覽會。

彷彿開啟一段時空之旅，儘管社會不斷變遷，但我發現了過去和現在的相似之處，就是人性不變。猶如一條通往感受與覺醒的幽徑，我藉此將情感融入到表層的畫面中。 這段旅程反覆出現的主題就是這種“內心活動”的隱喻，是對人性不變的一種反思。
Embarking on a journey through time, despite changes in society, I find a subtle parallel underlying both the past and the present; the human factor. My work incorporates emotions into the skin of the paintings as an intimate approach to a hidden world of feelings and self-awareness. The recurrent subject of traveling becomes a metaphor of this “inner movement”, a poignant statement of the timeless unchanging realities of the human condition.

「El Espejo III (鏡子)」屬於一系列慶祝女性性感的畫作。人物的性感形狀與鳥的有型輪廓之間的相互作用表達了溫暖和輕鬆的氛圍。主角享受著私人時光，在鏡子裡觀察自己，隱蔽的慾望在空中流淌。這人鳥組合的幾何結構突出了直線和曲線之間令人愉快的對話。（畫中的鳥是蒼鷺 La Garza）
“El Espejo III” belongs to a series of paintings celebrating the sensuality of women. The interaction between the voluptuous forms of the figure and the stylish silhouette of the bird suggests a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Enjoying her privacy, she observes herself in a mirror, secret desires flowing in the air. The geometric structure of the composition accentuates the delightful dialogue between straight lines and curved shapes.

A seated woman in a white dress enjoys the magnificent ocean views from the top of the cliffs. She is in love.Needing to escape the small-town, moral prejudices, she decides to walk up on the hill in search of a moment of quietude.This painting is inspired by “Ryan’s daughter”, a romantic drama film from the 70’s, directed by David Lean.

此作品屬於一系列受到20世紀上半葉影響女性角色的社會變遷所啟發的繪畫作品。我們今天所認識的自給自足和獨立的現代女性，長期以來一直讓我很感興趣。在這幅畫中，優雅、性感和自信的女士誘惑地看著引起她注意的人。（畫中的狗似乎是米格魯 (Beagle dog)）
The artwork belongs to a series of paintings inspired by the social changes that affected the roles of women in the first half of the 20th century. The birth of the modern woman as we know her today, self-sufficient and independent, has interested me as a subject for long time. In this image, the elegant, sensual and self-confidentlady looks seductively at somebody who caught her attention.

一位優雅的女士在加州Malibu的別墅度過一個輕鬆的假日午後，聽著早期的爵士樂錄音。在迷人的20年代，許多電影明星都住在加州海邊的這個城市。精緻的汽車和甜美的衣服代表了一種複雜的奢侈生活方式，人們仍然不知道這十年結束後，將會在30年代發生「大蕭條」。（畫中的狗是格雷伊獵犬 (Greyhound)）
An elegant lady spends a relaxing holiday afternoon in a Malibuvilla listening to early jazz recordings. During the glamorous 20’s many movie stars lived in this city in California.Fancy cars and luscious clothes represented a sophisticated way of life, with people still unaware of the things to come at the end of the decade: The Great Depression.

An elegant lady from Shanghai, dressed in blue, seems to be lost in thought while reading at the railway station. Happily absorbed in her book and surrounded by the noise from the crowd, she is unaware of the arrival of the train.

這幅畫屬於一系列以「婦女與閱讀」為主題的作品。多年前，西班牙郵政局使用我的八件作品發行了關於這個主題的郵票。在這幅畫中，一名年輕女子躺在草地上讀書。在河邊，她和她的狗似乎都在享受一個寧靜的周日下午。（畫中的狗是不列塔尼獵犬 (Breton Spaniel Dog)）
This painting belongs to a series of works with the motif: “Women and reading”. Years ago, the Spanish Postal Office released a stamp collection with this topic using eight of my works. In this image, a young woman is lying on the grass and reading a book. Both her and her dog seem to be enjoying a peaceful Sunday afternoon, close to the river.

星期六晚上在紐約的哈林區。棉花俱樂部，紐約最著名的爵士樂俱樂部。一對夫婦終於到了，滿心渴望享受一個難忘的夜晚，有大樂隊的音樂、踢踏舞、香檳和純粹的享受等待著他們。（畫中的狗是牛頭㹴(Bull Terrier)）
Saturday night in Harlem. The Cotton Club, the most famous jazz club in New York. A couple have finally arrived, full of desire for an unforgettable night. Big band music, tap dancing, champagne and pure enjoyment await them.

The painting shows a young ladyduring a peaceful misty morning in Varenna, a beautiful village in Lake Como (Italy). Together with her dog she observes whatis happening around her while a steamboat slowly navigates on its way across to the other shore.

Fabio Hurtado出生於馬德里(1960)是一位畫家兼攝影師，母親是義大利裔，父親是西班牙裔。
Fabio Hurtado is a Spanish painter and photographer born in Madrid in 1960, son of an Italian mother and a Spanish father.
他畢業於馬德里.康普頓斯大學的藝術學院。經過三年的教學經驗之後，他終於在1988年開始專職繪畫。從那一刻起，他就沒有在國際藝壇缺席過。1996年他被授予羅馬現代藝術學院的會員資格，以及其它獎項。西班牙皇后索菲亞在BMW繪畫競賽上頒發他榮譽獎章。他和一些西班牙重要的藝術家一同受邀參與西班牙立憲25周年展覽。此外，有一組以“女性與閱讀＂為主題的集郵套票也收錄他6張繪畫作品。他的作品永久收藏在愛爾蘭.貝爾法斯特的阿爾斯特美術館以及馬爾他. 瓦萊塔的國家美術館。金融時報通訊雜誌和先鋒報特刊也在封面刊登 Fabio Hurtado 的作品。他經常與歐洲、亞洲的公益組織合作創設學校與提供教育基金。
He graduated from the Fine Art School of the Complutense University, Madrid. After three years of teaching experience he finally started painting professionally in 1988. From that moment on, his presence in international art circles has been constant. He was awarded membership of the Rome Academy of Modern Art in 1996, as well as other numerous prizes, Her Majesty Queen Sophia of Spain presented him with a Medal of Honor at the BMW Painting Contest. He was invited to participate, together with some of Spain’s most important artists, in an exhibition to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Spanish Constitution. Furthermore a stamp collection was issued featuring six of his paintings with the subject “Women and reading”. His paintings can be found in the permanent collections of both The Ulster Museum, Belfast ( Ireland ) and the National Museum of Fine Arts, La Valletta ( Malta ). The Financial Times Telecom magazine and a special edition of La Vanguardia newspaper featured Fabio Hurtado’s work as the front cover. He frequently collaborates with non-profit organizations in Europe and Asia which construct school and fund education.
2004年西班牙郵電總局發行一組以"女性與閱讀"為主題的集郵套票也收錄他一些繪畫作品。
Date of issue: 23/01/2004. This philatelic issue is made up of two souvenir sheets with three stamps each which depict works of Fabio Hurtado. Reading is always close to education. In the first 30 years of the XX century primary schooling became almost equal between men and women and the number of women students increased considerably. Access to culture was a great step forward in their role in modern society.

Fabio 喜歡畫紅頭髮的女性，因為他的母親也是紅頭髮，他敬愛她。紅髮女性通常很獨立、堅強、有趣和性感，Fabio 喜歡將這些特徵賦予他所描繪的女性。而且紅髮鮮明亮麗，在背景畫面上可凸顯人物的面容。
Fabio paints red haired woman because his mother is red haired, and he admires and loves her deeply. Red haired are independent, strong, funny and sensual women, and Fabio like to give these characteristics to the woman he paints. On the other hand, red hair gives light and color to the faces and combines and highlight the backgrounds adding color to the entire composition.
Fabio相當推崇女性，因此將女性帶入到他的作品中，那些出現在他畫作中的女性形象，不只是"美麗"的女性而已。他描繪的是獨立的、聰明的、自由的、性感的、細膩而堅強的女性。畫裡的鳥代表了女性的自由精神、感性和優雅。狗表示忠誠，代表著女性獨立、擁有智慧和能力。
Fabio, deeply admires women and involves them in his work, in a form, that women who appear in his paintings are not objects, or just beautiful women. The women he paints are independent, intelligent, free, sensual, delicate but strong women. The birds represent the free spirit, sensuality, and elegance of the women. Dogs signify loyalty, fidelity and reinforce the idea of women's independence, intelligence and empowerment.
畫中出現的女性往往具有優雅、獨立、神秘、有教養和喜愛旅遊等氣質；有時捕捉到獨自旅行的落寞神情，或是與其他人結伴同遊的歡愉時刻。
The women who appear in his paintings are usually elegant, independent, enigmatic, educated and traveling; sometimes captured in moments of intimate loneliness and others in the dynamics of a trip.

Chloe Chiu (NYCA紐約當代藝術基金經理)：這是希臘式的古典型式，強調理性的美感，所以Fabio 的女性塑造，的確是屬於獨立、自由、堅強這類的特質。在預展時某位藏家，他的太太正好就擁有這些特質，於是就收藏了其中的一幅畫。
問：希臘時期的雕塑為什麼都不笑？
Chloe Chiu：不被允許笑，那時候的審美觀念是要理性至上，要莊嚴感。
問：狗狗在Fabio的畫中有什麼象徵意涵？
Chloe Chiu：傳統油畫中，畫家會刻意強調動物的優良血統以證明牠們價值不斐，進而彰顯主人的社經地位。
Chris Lee：Fabio認為狗狗代表忠實、忠誠，同時也彰顯出女主人的獨立、智慧與能力。畫中的狗清一色是獵犬，有格雷伊獵犬 (Greyhound)、不列塔尼獵犬 (Breton Spaniel Dog)、米格魯 (Beagle dog)、巴吉度獵犬 (法語：Basset hound)等等，在以前的年代，只有皇家貴族才會飼養獵犬以供狩獵之用。這些也彰顯出女主人的貴氣！
Fabio Hurtado是一位很有辨識度的藝術家在二種不同方面。第一種是空間上營造出超現實的氛圍幾何組成，彷彿進入他個人的內心世界。音樂家、迷般的女性，以及帶著隠喻味道的鳥群(或動物)，似乎生活在這個戲劇般的場景中。第二種是時間上重現1920年和1930年代的電影場景，很有現代個性的女性人物，似乎暗喻新時代女性的角色將與過去不同，凸顯出長久以來社會上對女性的限制。
Fabio Hurtado is an artist with an unmistakable style expressed through two different sides. The first one is marked by a geometric application in surreal atmosphere compositions...a personal approach to a magic inner world. Musicians, enigmatic women and a metaphorical representation of birds seem to inhabit this theatrical landscape. The second recreate scenes in an almost cinematographic context, mostly set within the 1920's and 1930' s in a stylish and modern orientated look at women's new role in society, a poignant statement of the timeless unchanging realities of the human condition.
