Enric Aromi 大師帶給我們的作品除了視覺衝擊之外(請見上一篇Part1)，更讓人好奇的是他到底怎麼做出來的？展覽期間，我們ROSA組組員Rich&Emily就遇到一組從事時尚服飾產業的貴賓們非常讚嘆Enric 的畫作技巧，他們表示：「即使是用照片轉印的，也無法像他這樣融入在帆布纖維上，更何況還有顏色調配的問題，非常佩服！」
的確，第一眼，觀畫者通常會懷疑他是否直接將照片影像移植到畫布上然後再予以加工？甚至是用Photoshop後製的？答案是，不是。
下圖，ROSA組組員Rich&Emily正在向從事時尚服飾業的貴賓介紹Enric大師的作品。
在展前，我們收集了有關Enric大師的資料，發現他對攝影擁有豐富的經驗，並發展出一種能夠結合攝影程序與傳統繪畫的新技巧。他申請了專利權，稱之為”Gelopaint (暫時翻譯為「膠合畫」)”。
在1980年代，Enric 做了很多實驗，試著將拍立得的影像層移轉出來，但受限於它的尺寸大小(4x6英吋)，他便立志要找出可以放大尺寸而不會減損品質或成色的方法。在失敗無數次之後，他分離出了類似拍立得的那種薄膜顯像層，但是因為成本太高而放棄。在90年代，他無意間找到了關鍵配方，在實驗了無數的介質後，他發現亞麻布是最佳材質。這種他稱之為膠合畫的媒材可以輕易地與其他的媒材融合(油料、壓克力油料、墨水等)，而這種混合媒材的使用可以創造出極為寫實或是抽象的圖畫。

Like all masters of figurative art, Enric begins with a model that he then adapts to his canvas in studio. In his case, the transfer is not by direct photographic overlay, nor by drawing the model’s outline in pencil. He emulsifies the image onto the canvas by means of very thin gels mixed with just the right combination of chemicals and the under painting of the model appears, ready for further artistic manipulation.
就像其他人物畫的大師，Enric 從找尋模特兒開始，然後在工作室完成他的作品。他不是靠直接用相片合成，也非照著模特兒的照片用鉛筆素描。他藉由非常細薄的混合凝膠來乳化模特兒的照片當作底圖，然後予以加工完成。
From 1980-2000, he experimented with separating photographic gels from the underlying photographic paper. This entailed combining and mixing photo chemicals in the development process, which allowed him to manipulate colors. Further experimentation allowed him to mix oils and watercolors with the mixture of chemicals that were needed in the emulsion phase of creating the gels. He then successfully transferred this emulsion mixture onto canvas and manipulated the images just as if he were using traditional oils or watercolors applied by brush or palette knife.
從1980年到2000年之間，他實驗了無數次，試圖將感光膠從感光紙分離出來。他在顯像的過程中加入某些化學物，讓他可以自由地操控顏色。更進一步地，他在感光乳化的過程中添加了油料與水彩混合入那些化學物中，成功的將這個乳化混合物移植到畫布上(這張先前用手繪圖案的畫布)，並操作它使它看起來像是用畫筆或用筆刀繪製出來的油畫或水彩畫。
In a laborious process, Enric uses a combination of techniques which involves manipulating emulsion gels, painting this emulsion-oil-watercolor mixture onto canvas, brushing or scraping the substrate then elaborating upon it to the desired degree of finish – all by hand, the emulsion gels are used as a base applied to the canvas, manipulating one gel over another until he gets the basic image he desires. He elaborates this image by using traditional painting techniques with brushes, palettes, scalpels, and even his fingers. The gels are a medium themselves which he manipulates and distorts as much as if they were paint. On top of this under painting he adds other mediums (oils, oxides, watercolors, pastels, charcoal, etc.).
這個過程頗為費工，他需要使用一連串的程序包括感光乳劑的操控、將這種膠合物畫在畫布上、塗抹或是刮除，然後調整角度，這一切都是親手完成的。換一種說法，他將需要用的的膠合畫拼合完成後，再用傳統的繪畫技巧如塗抹、調色、刮除甚至用上手指，來精心修飾。這些膠合物本身就是他用來作畫的工具，在它們上面再添加其他的媒材(諸如油料、氧化物、水彩、粉彩、木炭等)，同樣親手完成。
另外一篇文章則說：
The exhibition features 18 pieces on canvas of small and medium that the artist has performed with the technique of gelopaint result of chemical research and experimentation. "This method allows to mix intimately chromaticism and reality of the photographic moment with any conventional painting technique to give each time a completely integrated and unrepeatable piece." explained from the gallery.
這18幅的作品是用膠合畫的技巧來完成的。畫廊如此解釋：這種方法可以將半色階風格與相片定格式的風格緊密的融合在一起，再加上任何傳統作畫的方式來創造獨一無二的作品。

這是他出版的畫冊，有兩本，這是第二本REATION。第一本叫做TRANSGRESSION，以裸體藝術與前衛藝術為主；第二本排除裸體題材，加入風景、兒童以及靜物等主題，運用他的專利”膠合畫”所做出。畫冊裡面可以看到多幅本屆藝博會展出作品(page23,81,82,87)。

這兩本畫冊收集了Enric 大師近年來的佳作非常精彩，更可感受到大師操縱影像的功力與源源不絕的創意！

做結論，藝術史上，自從印象派盛行後，古典派、具象派、抽象派開始爭論不休；
自照相機發明後，超現實主義、超寫實主義、照相寫實主義也糾纏不清；
自Photoshop問世後，繪畫藝術與攝影藝術也模糊了邊界。
現在，Enric's Gelopaint集各派之大成，等於一個新品種的誕生，它既具象又抽象、超寫實又超現實、是攝影也是繪畫，一舉打破各畫派的壁壘！如果是相片後置合成的話，就會有版數的問題；可是Enric 藉由複合媒材的使用以及繁複的製作程序，讓他的每幅作品成為獨一無二。
如果從Jeff Koons (傑夫·昆斯)、Andy Warhol (安迪·沃荷)、Marcel Duchamp (馬塞爾·杜象)、Damien Hirst (達明·赫斯特)、Murakami Takashi (村上隆)以來的當代藝術大師們所標榜的理念--「創意無價」是正確的話，我認為Enric Aromi 的作品還是有他大放異彩的空間?!
